Russ Arnwine has been playing music almost all of his life. Starting out on drums in his father''s garage band, he later graduated to guitar and continued playing in bands through high school on into adulthood. He began traveling to Nashville in the eighties, working sporadically as a session player and occasionally playing live shows in such venues as the Grand Ole Opry and the legendary Bluebird Cafe. Along the way Russ also recieved formal training in piano, voice and composition.
"Islamorada" is a richly diverse, mostly instrumental collection of original songs written to both soothe and entice the listener. This record is a beautiful melding of many styles and instruments which offers a unique and spiritually uplifting experience for the listener.
