Details:
Chillybeanz is above all, honest music, made by real people. If you have feelings, and we know that you do, you just might see yourself in some of these songs. From love lost to the butterflies of falling in love, from the screwed up state of our polluted world to the dysfunctional family, or the ongoing search to find a home and your place in the world. Chillybeanz captures heartfelt emotion, thoughts and a perspective that we can all relate to.

While attending design school, Jillian performed her original music regularly at various clubs in New York City. Some favorites - The Speak Easy & Wetlands. After graduating, she decided to drive across country, playing coffee houses and clubs, meeting all kinds of crazy characters along the way.

Jillian continued to move around from California, Colorado, Oregon, Alaska to Montana. She even lived in her funky old Subaru for a while but felt good about the sense of freedom it provided. Then again, sleeping in your car in LA during an earthquake isn''t exactly liberating.

Jillian and her husband, Nik, met in Oregon at a barter fair and started playing music together and writing songs. Nik came from the Midwest where he had grown up playing in rock bands. He studied classical guitar under the wings of Javier Calderon, a former student of Andres Segovia. You can here some of this training in Nik''s guitar solos, which can be as nasty as they are elegant. Nik and Jillian started performing their original music, connecting them with drummer Dale MacFarlan, and bassist Albert McDonnell.

Albert''s unique style of bass playing is sometimes like the wide-open skies of Alaska and other times, burly like a big old bear. A multi-instrumentalist and studio engineer, Albert owns and runs Skatebottom Sound in Juneau, Alaska.
In between the music projects and performing, Albert can be found out on the open seas commercial fishing for wild Alaskan salmon. Dale plays kit drums as well as a multitude of other percussion instruments. When he''s not banging on his skins, he has been spotted road riding his bike like a kamikaze warrior across Alaska and into the Yukon wearing a red cape with an assortment of vegetation hanging from his helmet.
