Details:
Four midwestern boys, weaned on the music of the 80''s, have come together to create their own take on rock & roll. The guitars of Nolan Miller and Dan Hastings blend with the keyboard stylings of Drew Smith. Scott Weaver''s lead vocals add the final layer to music that is entertaining yet thought-provoking.

Chain Gang Show was founded in 1998. "Changelings" is their most recent release.

The band has compiled some objective comments about the songs on "Changelings." Check this out - and let us know what you think.

The Newbreeds - "...a comment on the ever-evolving roles of the sexes within a society always in a state of flux. Or is it just window dressing for a U2-style rave-up?"

A Perfect Geometry - "Think Wilco meets R.E.M."

Nashville - "An epic showcase of the lonesome songwriter. This is truly inspired songwriting, telling the tale of the musician-journeyman through the rhinestone streets of Country Music Capitol, USA."

Johnny Rock ''n'' Roll (The Rise and Stall of...) - "The musical tale of a kid who finds himself at the right time & place. The song is a short, sharp throwback to the days when rock planted its hooks into you and left you humming for more. Excellent."

At Least She Hates Me - "...while the lyrics engage in a sort-of theatre of the absurd, the music steamrolls straight ahead like a Bob Mould-powered locomotive."

Sensitive Girl - "A smooth subtle trip through the roadways of the sensitive heart. Different from anything else on the album, this piece of Euro-jazz inflected pop shows that the band is not afraid to step outside their ''chain gang'' in search of a great song. If the opening piano/string arrangement doesn''t get your attention, then surely the bop-along brass at the end will have you bouncing in your boots."

The Great American Novelist - "So, you say you want a song you can tap your toe to? You want a chorus you can sing along with? Maybe a song with a Credence-style send up? How about a tune about a writer whose first book is dedicated with his own blood? Well, here it is, in all of it''s bloody glory. Just try and stop singing this one. I dare you..."
