Details:
Chain of Being is a rock and roll band formed during spring of 2002 in Eugene, Oregon. Four members make up "The Chain" including:

Matt Manselle: lead vocals/rhythm guitarist:
Tye Lewman: lead guitarist/back up vocals:
Jake Hamilton: drummer
Chris Hessick: bassist

Chain of Being has worked hard putting together an 11 song LP Bottom Creeps that was finalized in the winter of 2004. Funded by their efforts out on the road, the 11 song LP showcases their many influences nicely, and is only the tip of the ice berg. Currently the group is unsigned, but is looking for a label that will help support them financially with touring, promotion and studio recordings. The band feels that with such backing, their music could reach a respectable level.

C.O.B has also been featured on A Vision From The Ashes Vol 1, the compilation CD for the Los Angeles charity The Art of Elysium. All proceeds go to the charity, which benefits "under-served, at risk and hospitalized children whose lives are constantly disrupted by hardship, or chronic and often terminal illness." Many local acts are featured on the CD as well as songs by former Porno For Pyros guitarist Peter Distefano, and Punk spearheads D.O.A.

Chain of Being''s music has reached the Oregon Top 10 list on the website https://www.tradebit.com three separate times (Glorify, Pointing Fingers and Ship of Grace), and was also featured in Nathan Rudolph''s short film "One and a Quarter" (Dr. Jones).

Chain of Being is eager to play live and looking forward to experiencing many more venues and bringing forth rock and roll music that can be enjoyed by a diverse range of individuals. Keep rock
alive.

"Chain of Being can be described with the single word "rock." The Eugene-based band eschews punk''s savage efficiency, saving space for sprawling solos, and it replaces metal''s growling menace with vocal vulnerability. "Modern" is an optional modifier, as COB doesn''t exactly sound like Chuck Berry (though it references rock''s kick-starter on its website.) But "modern rock" conjures images of Matchbox 20 and other acts that bear the stigma of sterility. COB''s fire-obsessed lyrics hint at metaphorical pyromania, but its searing riffs and slow-burn singing style generate genuine heat."

"The rhythm section is covered melodically and super tight with spawned continuity from the energetic beats combined with the smooth, yet heart-pumping bass lines. Vocals are presented in [the] purest form possible, delivered with an overwhelming sense of passion and belief, the songs are noosed together with some of the most unbelievable guitar licks and masterful solos the NW has seen in a while, wrapping this band''s capabilities into a platinum package. Chain of Being is a must see live band, and their studio recordings will certainly not disappoint. Don''t miss out on an opportunity to see these guys tear the roof off. Much Love to COB for rockin'' it!"

"Rock and Roll with bite, energy and searing guitar solos. You hear a buzz in between songs as these guys show us how it''s done, without the usual hype or hyperbole. They''re from Eugene and they''re headed for bigger places."

"Chain of Being was the first band I watched. I had been trying to get to one of their shows [because] a friend had told me they were pretty good. My friend was right but still wrong, they kicked ass (not just pretty good)! I was blown away by this band! Kick ass, high energy music with phenomenal vocals! The vocals especially are what got me. I highly recommend you get to one of their shows as I''m sure you will quickly become a fan like me!"
