Details:
Born and raised in Middletown, New Jersey, Courtney McManus''s love of music has been apparent since she was a child. In 2001, Courtney worked with producer/songwriter and two-time ASCAP winner, John DeGrazio, with whom she co-wrote her first song to be played on the radio, "Pushing Me Away." In 2002 Courtney collaborated with singer/songwriter Andrew Fromm, who has written songs for The Backstreet Boys and Mark Anthony to name a few. In 2003, Courtney recorded a song written and produced by Kit Hain, who enjoyed success as part of the duo Marshall Hain, and has written songs for Cher, Roger Daltry and Chaka Kahn. In July 2004, Courtney met Chris Gunnowski and Greg Federico and began to write songs with a clear vision in mind. Countless writing sessions amidst candlelight created an endless flow of material. The following year Courtney received honorable mention for her song "Little Things" in the 22nd annual Mid-Atlantic song contest under the Folk Acoustic category. In the summer of 2006, Courtney had the pleasure of working on her new album "Eyes Open Wide" with multi-platinum producer Mark S. Berry who has worked with artists such as David Bowie, Billy Idol, Duran Duran and Yes. The album was recorded at Zolis Audio in Toronto, Ontario Canada. Taking a hand in writing the music as well as the lyrics, "Eyes Open Wide" her album will leave you wanting more. Combining orchestral sound, cinematic lyrics, folk and rock guitar, this album is an emotional retrospect of past relationships and life experiences.
