Ian James is back with his second full length solo CD on Blue FX Records. Volume 2 is another sampling from Ian''s mixed-genre catalogue that was written and recorded over the past two years. There are fourteen songs written in mixed genres of rock, funk, techno. hip-hop and blues. Great "Head-Trip" music, with flashes from the past (Dispute- a song that is Doors like, yet amped up), and future (Getting In My Way - a song with very mechanical yet funky, under beat).

Unlike Volume 1, there isn''t much "World" influence on this album and it is pretty much a straight foward fast moving "Summer-time" disc, not without its melancholy moments, as one would expect from Ian.

Ian James is a music artist from Lowell MA who writes and records songs in multiple genres but has a predominant focus in electronica. Ian’s songs have appeared in clubs, tv, radio, DVDs and on CD releases.

Some of Ian’s influences include Jimi Hendrix, Beck, The Doors, DJ Shadow, DJ Muggs, Moby, Groove Armada,and Fela Kuti, to name a few.

Recent Credits:
Summer 2007: Releases CD “Volume 2” on Blue FX Records
Spring 2007: Placed multiple songs in the DVD "Inner Balance", a movie featuring extrerme unicyling. Produced by Balance Productions.
Spring 2007: Joins local Boston punk band S.W.A.G.G. as bass player.
October 2006: Placed multiple songs in an independent DVD covering the NorthAmerican Uni-Cycling Competiton and Convention in TN. Produced by Balance Productions.
September 2006: Independently released CD "Remnants" under the name Invasive, a collaboration with John Skolfield.
Spring 2006: Placed song "Birthday" in two episodes of the boating show Port-O-Call, which aired on NESN (regional cable network reaching 13 million subscribers) as well as Comcast NY and Comcast PA.
September 2005: Released CD "World-Funk-Rhthym & Blues Vol. 1" on indie label Blue FX Reords.
June 2005: Placed multiple songs in four episodes of tv show "Urban Explorers", which aired on The Discovery Channel.
