MP3 Noon Layer Drive - Note To Self EP

impressionable years of the band being 92-94 the music screams big riffs through big tunes but still remains left of centre.

4 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Hard Rock, ROCK: College Rock

Details:
A four piece, hard rock alternative from bucks, England.

The name is taken from a baron wasteland within the perimeters of their hometown. Signposted yet with no more to offer than 20sq ft of tarmac and a mound of rubble (used to prevent travellers setting up encampments on this would be ‘Promised Land’) the band saw it as a great opportunity to facilitate the imagination for what might be.

First generation citizens of their ‘suburban social catastrophe’ all came together through a decrepit hug of what still is a dwindling music scene there and despite the fact they were in various lesser guises, it planted a seed that would in later years develop into something special.

Influences, range from Faith No More, QOTSA and their impressionable years of ‘92-’94 right across to Marley, Bowie and even XTC, yet fused and built upon in an original and exciting style. Extensive gigging in and around the Isles and festivals in the Low Countries ensures the musicianship and stagecraft has got pedigree.

Noon Layer Drive is a colossal, scything yet endearing sound, made from nothing more than drums, bass, two guitars and a vocal but standing nothing short of gigantic, the music carves intrusive hard rock riffs into your bones and shot blasts your soul with an impenetrable mass of furore, skull crushing bass and jackhammer beats.

Not many bands can truly justify their sound to warrant being under a rock genre,
This one does.
