FROM D MAGAZINE''S BEST LIVE BANDS TO SEE IN 2006

To keep your fists pumping, pay for the privilege to see swaggering and cocksure Rose County Fair. Big songs with big hooks, Rose County Fairs music melds roots and rock like an alt-country Alex Chilton.

FROM DALLAS OBSERVER''S ARTICLE "ALL''S FAIR."

"Right now, John Pedigo''s newest band is the hottest ticket in town."

FROM THE BLOG I SHOT JR

Rose County Fair is like that one perfect game of foosball. They restore my faith in local music and they keep me coming back. Too often, I see bands bog themselves down in tricks and noise, using inappropriate gimmicks to cover up what they dont know. But Rose County doesnt use gimmicks; they dont need to. John Pedigo is a great songwriter, and although he usually shelves himself under novelty acts or rockabilly, with Rose County Fair he finally gets to spread out and write the songs hes always wanted to. He also finally has a band that can step up to all his interesting changes and really fill them out. They dont do anything flashy and they are nostalgic in tone, often reminding me of how good it felt to steal my dads Miller High Life in 8th grade. At the same time they sound fresh, reminding me of the first time I heard Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. They might branch out and noodle around if need be, but all at once they spin the handles and get the ball in the hole, if you know what I mean.

******** BIO *******

With one foot stuck in modern concrete and then other on a seventies dirt road, Rose County Fair seemlessly mends music mixing from the early days of alt country to the indie rock of today without hesitation and with near reckless abandon. RCF believes in crossing the boundaries of rock, country, alt country, and any other genre that gets in their way...stopping at nothing to get what it wants... with plenty of accessibility to be watched as heavy radio rotation contenders (https://www.tradebit.com). Rose County Fair has been chosen by the Observer as the Top Band in Dallas and by D Magazine as one of the Top 5 Bands in Dallas.

Formed by John Pedigo in early 2006, the band has taken several shapes until eventually gelling into the group we see today; members chosen from of Dallas best musicians : Boys Named Sue, OloSpo, Slick Fifty Seven among many others. Pedigo has set into motion plans for RCF to develop the same touring habits as Slick Fifty Seven touring heavily nationally and internationally with help from friends around the world. With Slick, Pedigo shared the stage with bands like Wilco, Rev. Horton Heat, Frank Black, Polyphonic Spree, Southern Culture on the Skids, Bryan Jonestown Massacre, Old 97s, and many many more killlers. With a newly anticipated album, Rose County Fair is sure to be a hit. As the Dallas Observer(New Times) has recently said, it would wise to check out the up-and-coming concert wonder that is Rose County Fair.(pub. 8/3/2006)
