MP3 Cozumel Keith & The Ginseng Addicts - Mayan Blues
Many of the tracks on this CD are Chicago style blues, and there is some fine harp playing on it. Being a fan of both Big and Little Walter, Sonny Boy II and Billy Boy Arnold, the harp playing here is both derived and original.

Details:
Cozumel Keith has been recording for over 30 years. Although not primarily a live performer, he has stepped out into the spotlight in recent years. A multi-instrumentalist with a penchant for using different instruments sometimes in his recordings - this album includes mayan water drum, theramin, conch shell trumpet, chromatic harmonica, and sampled mellotron.
A stint with The Hastings Street Band(out of Detroit), as a harmonica player, refined his harp playing as well as gave inspiration for the songs Cookie Party and Harmonica Man.
Being a fan of Roy Orbison and Rick Nelson and other 60''s great singers has no doubt influenced his vocal style along with blues greats Peter Green, Little Walter and Slim Harpo.
The Ginseng Addicts have been together 2 years in various configurations. Currently they include Allen Powellson on drums, Ted Farquhar on guitar, keyboards, and vocals, and Keith on various sundry instruments and vocals.
