∆ BIOGRAPHY:
Dominique was born in Germany 23 years ago as the world got to hear her first “notes” recorded on her father’s CD release “Made in Germany.”
At the age of 3 she gave her first solo performance to a grand audience (“Alle Meine Entchen” on the pan flute) having learned the song by ear.
She’d always felt that music was natural to living and there was just no question about it being what she was meant to do in her life.
”Ain’t no stopping us now...,” though probably sung in her shower with a horrible accent, she really couldn’t be stopped. From getting on stage and taking part in somebody else’s performance that was already going on, to regularly performing as a pianist and jazz, ballet and tap dancer over the following 11 years.
At 11 she and two of her friends formed the band “Jump” for which they wrote all of their own songs, played their own instruments, recorded in the studio and performed until in their mid-teens.
At the age of 15 she decided that the US was the place to be to further her career as an artist.
In the summer of 1999, on vacation in Miami, she auditioned for the “New World School of the Arts,” one of a few magnet schools (an institution with a competitive entrance process & specialized curriculum in the Arts) in the US.
3 days after moving from Germany (still living in a hotel room out of her suitcase) she started training there, and graduated in 2002 with honors and awards in French, Italian and English, as well as 2 years of college credit in theatre.
During her time there she auditioned for and performed in many plays and went to state wide competitions, receiving awards for being in those productions.
Having been around her father’s recording studio all of her life she was born to eventually produce her own music and started at it in 2005, programming in Logic Pro 7, the industry-leading application for music creation and audio production.
