Musically bred in the birthplace of bossa nova Brazil, then relocating to guitar/rock USA, Marcus eventually grew tired of the stale confines of the rock/pop outfit and moved his creative energies to jazz music. Finding more freedom and self-expression through the pursuit of the so-called “non-cool non-hip”, tracks like” Chillin like Jairo”with fresh flourishes and a broad aesthetic.
