CSB In DETAIL:
CSB was born from the desperation of the singer''s need to express himself in the relationships he shared with the people surrounding him. This desire to communicate is the theme of CSB''s music. The singer/songwriter/guitarist Charlie Scopoletti began writing his own music in his early teens. CSB''s music is a merging of pop and rock themes, woven together with acoustic sensibility. Which he likes to call a "Love Hangover." It''s the mixture of Matchbox 20 and Goo Goo Dolls with Charlie''s experiences of life, love, heartbreak and relationship breakdowns, passionately put into his songs.
Laying the tracks of their first song "Crazy Girl" in early 2003, the band was comprised of a diverse array of musicians to bring life to his music. Jessie Levin on bass, John Giamara on drums, and, the band''s newest member, Matthew Kiamie on guitar solidified the band''s sound.
The songs that have followed show the development of the music and the band. CSB revealed their music through a series of self-booked shows in the metro New York area during the early part of May 2004. This local tour led to their discovery by Todd Phillips, the VP of Business Development for Rock Ridge Records. "The bands passion and dedication was evident to me the first time I saw them perform. It is an overwhelming feeling when songs touch you and you are able to reflect on your own life. "
The independent label Rock Ridge Records signed CSB shortly after, in June of 2004. They celebrated the CD Release of their debut album "Circles" the following October. The album, which features songs such as "Stay with Me" and "Fade Away," reveals Charlie''s most inner feelings.
