Wendell Austin is a veteran songwriter. He is licensed worldwide, by Broadcast Music Inc., aka BMI, as a songwriter and as a publisher.
Wendell is a recording artist with many recordings to his credit. Some of his songs are heard on radio stations in the USA and in several foreign countries.
His number one "calling" is writing,recording and sharing Gospel songs. Wendell says in one of his songs, "God is always the songwriter. I just push the pen".
Wendell also writes and records many patriotic songs.
He shares them with & through veterans groups and with individual veterans. Some of these songs are used at military funerals and for veteran''s memorial dedciation programs.
Wendell also writes many clean as Ivory Soap (99 and 9/10 % pure)Country songs. Most recently one of those Country songs was #1 on a weekly Country Radio 227, in The Netherlands, by host Ton Polderman. That same week Radio 227 also aired & listed two more songs written by Wendell, as sung by other artists, song # 16 "Sweet Lovin'' With You" by Suzie Pauchey (FL) and #17 "Bring Me Home" by Jim Palmer (ME).
Wendell''s Gospel songs are made avl coast to coast, by 300 truck stop chapels in the USA. In 2006 those chapels distributed some 18,000 CDs for Wendell.
Wendell has just written a new song for a 501 C non-profit orgaization called Wreaths Across America, titled, "Wreaths Across America". This group makes, transports and lays 10,000 Christmas wreaths on the rgaves of veterans in the Arlington, VA national veterans cemetery.
