Dayan Kai, an artist whose musical abilities and stylistic variety know few bounds. Beginning with Classical Piano Lessons at age two, Dayan has since mastered various styles and instruments. His diverse studies have included training with renowned World Music Composer Lou Harrison, Latin Percussionist Michael Strunk, Jazz Trumpeter/Arranger Ray Brown and Mandolin Master David Grisman. Dayan has engineered and produced three solo albums, "Songs of Sunday," "Dayan Kai" and "The First 12 Years," as well as two albums with his former band Water, "Scrape the Sun" and "Look Out the Window." All the recordings feature Dayan''s powerful voice, prolific songwriting and many different instruments, from keys to strings and winds to skins.
