Details:
"Imagine an Eminem or Atmosphere who wasn''t in need of therapy or a Fort Minor who wrote songs about partying when the parents aren''t home and you''ve got PJo, a scrappy young suburbanite who brings his own spin to the "white rapper" thing. Only 19 years old, PJO, or Paul Jorgensen, has opened up a new genre in the music industry. Growing up in a middle class Chicago suburb, his music blends topics such as youth drug culture, partying, materialism in rap today, and the dying state of hip hop today, with banging production by Antonio McFadden. With gangster rap fading out, PJO has come to save the rap game at just the right time. Each song on his album "No Average Jo" has influences from hip/hop, rap, rock, and electronic, while giving the listener a glimpse into the lifestyle of a teenager today. "You''re Better Real" features Colleen Barry who acts as a stern Dido on the chorus, emphasizing to wannabe gansgers that, "You''ll never see through their eyes". This song drives home the idea that all kids, whether they live in the inner city or in the suburbs, don''t need to act gangster to listen to rap music. PJO emphasizes that him and so many others today wouldn''t survive in the inner city or ghetto, so why try to act like gangsters. In "Party Proper", PJO throws a huge bash at his house when the parents go out of town for the weekend. Be careful when you listen to "I See You", you might start hallucinating. One of the major differences between PJO and rappers today is that he is truly a gifted artist. He created a great album, which nowadays doesn''t happen. Not another ringtone rapper. Look out Eminem...
