Double Barrel Darrel is an Americana rock band from Goshen, IN. Formed in 2001, the band boasts a wide variety of songwriting and instrumental talents. Original songs written and sung by Aaron and Andrew form the basis for compositions that hint at influences from Neil Young, Wilco, Widespread Panic, U2, Gillian Welch and Steve Earle. Their gripping live shows extend to four hours in length, and allow Double Barrel Darrel to showcase their prowess on mandolin, banjo, harmonica, lap steel and the more traditional acoustic and electric guitars, bass and drums.
Double Barrel Darrel most recent album is called Geophagy; The album paints a mid-western landscape of desire, death, racial tension, and self-doubt. It improves on 2001''s Nashville...Made in China with tighter instrumentation and the creation of deeper musical textures, while retaining intelligent and moving songwriting.

Here''s what others are saying about Double Barrel Darrel

"..heartfelt, authentic Americana." -Paste recording artist Bill Mallonee (formerly of Vigilantes of Love)

"...Double Barrel Darrel''s new album "Geophagy," is a portrait of self-assured playing and songwriting...they create a textured, shifting mix of country, folk, bluegrass and rock...that recalls musicians such as the Jayhawks and Wilco early on, the Backsliders of "Southern Lines" and Neil Young in "Sugar Mountain" mode." -the South Bend Tribune
