Dead Rabbit''s debut album "Sex Crimes" is one of the most controversial CDs to come out of Nor Cal for years.
The hit single "Casa Rebel," a Columbine-style story about three kids who have had enough, was banned at all Sacramento high schools. Mere possesion of the CD meant instant expulsion.
"Polly Klass," Dead Rabbit''s scathing song about celebrity victims, has been labeled both distateful and right on the mark. Marc Klass, while refusing to go on record, accuses Dead Rabbit of being a "monster."
With six songs, "Sex Crimes" aims to blend humor, gangster rap, politics, and media culture into a skewered mix. The result: Imagine Phillip K. Dick and 2Pac taking shrooms and watching "A Clockwork Orange."
