11 MP3 Songs
ELECTRONIC: Experimental, ELECTRONIC: Ambient

Details:
Bob deBruyn Jr. began playing guitar at the age of 10.
His older brother, Andy, a guitar player, was forming a
band and needed a bass player, so at the age of 15 Bob
switched to electric bass and played with his brother''s
band. His father was stationed in Italy in the military so
Bob and Andy played a lot of gigs at the teen club on the
military base in Naples, Italy.
At the age of 21 Bob returned to the USA to attend college.
He studied music at
Southwestern College, Chula Vista, California, San Jose
City College and Cal State University, Hayward, California.
In college, Bob learned how to play the upright bass and
had a lot of fun playing in various jazz ensembles. Bob especially
enjoyed playing with jazz tenor sax man Bob Kenmotsu. (https://www.tradebit.com)

Bob moved to Tacoma, Washington in 1985 to be close to
his sister Angela, who was stationed at McChord Air Force Base.

In Washington, Bob played electric bass at Tacoma Community
College and North Seattle Community College in their jazz bands. He played upright bass in the Rainier Symphony and PLU Orchestra. In 1993 and 1994, Bob attended Port Townsends'' annual Jazz Workshop and Festival.
It was here that Bob got inspired by
David Friesen''s bass playing with digital delay.

In 1995 Bob played at the International Folk Life Festival
in Seattle with Blues man, Rusty Chainsaw.

Bob now lives in Bellevue,Washington with his wife Jamie and
daughter Mandy. He mostly plays at home now for his own enjoyment.
