Bassist/Composer Don Miller has gathered priceless experience that far exceeds his years, performing with many of the finest Artists in Jazz. With much formal study and the experience in many styles of music Don set out to hone his chops in Jazz under the tutelage of some of its very creators. From performing with such "Modern Masters" as Dizzy Gillespie, Clark Terry, and Ramsey Lewis, to "Latin Jazz Masters" Mongo Santamaria and Potato Valdez to "Masters of the Modern Jazz Guitar" George Benson and Larry Coryell to "Jazz Vocal Greats" Mark Murphy, Jackie Paris, and Dakota Staton, he hit the ground running and has yet to look back. This tutelage continued over the years under many other of this music''s most valuable contributors. Recent years have found Don performing with contemporary greats in Jazz such as Richie Cole, Johnny O''Neal, Roseanna Vitro, etc. and young lions such as Wycliffe Gordon, Don Braden and many others as well as pursuing his heralded solo recording career. Now with the release of the critically acclaimed "dial M for Bass" he brings the unique combination of his entire lifetime of musical experiences to the forefront in a recording of pure unadulterated straight ahead acoustic Jazz.
