The history of doublethink is deep. From the conception of the band to its current day status the goals and ideals of the band remain the same from the first day four musicians sat down and started banging out rock tunes. doublethink''s approach to their craft has not changed and the results of which have been extraordinary.
To understand and fully appreciate doublethink''s directives, there must be an understanding of the foundation and laurels that the band prides itself on. doublethink will not follow the status quo as a means to generate popularity, garner more lavish reviews or to cater to the preconceived ideas of what a great rock band should be. In reality, doublethink operates and functions under their own rules; rules that are obviously being recognized by the media: "If doublethink sticks to their formula of rocking and rolling for the sheer love of rock music and its function, they stand to inherit a loyal fanbase and fair to comfy treatment in the industry." doublethink''s live show is a glimpse into the soul of the beast. Having opened for major national acts such as Finger 11, Thornley and The Riddlin'' Kids to name a few, the band has become known for captivating high-energy performances that never fail to win over new listeners. Blessed with a level of charisma and electricity that can only be found in the most seasoned of performers, doublethink''s live show has allowed them access to the regions most reputable venues such as CBGB''s (New York, NY), the Webster Theater (Hartford, CT), along with the occasional high profile show at places like Six Flags New England.
Fans who come to know of doublethink via live performance will definitely not be disappointed by the band''s studio efforts which effectively capture their live sound. The mere fact that the band has moved over 3,000 CD''s in their history along with securing their own distribution channels is nothing to sneer at.
