Jordan Doucette is a Massachusetts based pop-rock singer/songwriter. She pens her songs from the perspective of a college aged misfit struggling with life around her. Uplifting pop melodies, along with sophisticated and catchy phrasing, accompany her dark lyrics in a tight-wire balancing act. One of her songs, Dear Mother, doesn''t spare anyone her pain- the lyrics and melody are nothing but heart wrenching. On the other side of the coin, Driving Me has a happy up-tempo feel that is betrayed by the chorus stating that that there is no gold at the end of the rainbow. The majority of her songs have a silky rock feel that combine gentle acoustic guitars opposite edgy electric guitars, bass and drums. Her voice has been described as sexy and sultry, and is the main attraction to this release.
