Words For Sale is a combination of pain and experience, things I have either experienced or things I have observed. Not all of this album is as polished as I would like but the feeling is there and I believe it is more important to get the point nailed home than to spend valuable energy in making it sound better. Or I am lazy.
In music as in life, nothing is true and everything is permitted. William S. Burroughs said that. I had so much fun and relief making “Toxic Blues” that I quite literally dove into this album. There is some personal aspects written here that although are important to expose, it is still a vulnerable step and I hope if you don’t enjoy the album, you will at least dislike it enough to invoke some real emotion such as anger or angst and go do it better, I left a lot room for both! Enjoy
