Details:
Musical styles come and go. Great songs remain forever. The Days consistently strive to follow the essence of each of their original songs where they lead, exploring the contours of alt-rock, pop, country, emo and folk. The result is the unique sound of The Days! Their influences are a diverse array of great artists and songwriters, from the Beatles to Bruce Springsteen, Johnny Cash to Neil Young, from Wilco to Neko Case to Ben Folds to Tom Waits. Two years ago, these five friends from three different Chicago high schools decided to hunker down in a basement studio, mix it up and see what happens. The result was the CD Great Big World (SkyEye Records), released in December 2005, available on iTunes and cdbaby. Since then, with members in college in four different cities, this committed band continues to bring their emotionally satisfying, energetic performances to clubs and college campuses. The five friends have a great time connecting on stage, with Days shows invariably including some high-octane audience participation led by singer/songwriter Jordan Stacey. The band has performed at acclaimed Chicago venues such as The Metro, Beat Kitchen, Congress Theater, Abbey Pub and Uncommon Ground.
This is the highly anticipated second recording: Situate EP.
