After spending a number of years dividing his time between music and a daytime job as a lawyer, Enahena came to the conclusion that it was time to follow the calling of his soul and dedicate himself to music. Enahena, a native of Italy and one of the most distinctive male vocalists to hit the California scene in recent years, has a voice that is reminiscent of Sting, Coldplay, David Bowie, Ben Harper – all wrapped up in one soul. He is also a brilliant and innovative drummer and percussionist with a powerful revolutionary technique that has helped him to forge a unique style of his own: a fabulous blend of dance-world-fusion-eurorock-electronica that has become the distinguishing hallmark of his music. A highly respected figure in the music scene on both sides of the Atlantic where he has performed both live and as a studio musician, Enahena helped get the world music scene started in the Bay area as a member of “Special Fun” and has opened in the United States for bands such as Spyrogyra, UB40 and Lee Ritenauer. He also sang and played under his real name Renato Annicchiarico on Gary Carpenter’s latin style album “Sirena” with the band “Tribal Heat” and occasionally plays drums with the Congolese AfroEuropean star, singer-songwriter and outstanding guitarist, SambaNgo. While performing in Europe Enahena also had the good fortune and the pleasure to have as keyboardist and backing vocalist for his band, the italian singer/songwriter superstar, Daniele Silvestri (the son of one of Italy`s best known TV producers) before Daniele`s rise to stardom. Enahena is currently promoting his most recent album “Mara’s Wind”("Vento per Mara"),which feature him singing in both English and Italian (all cds mentioned are available from https://www.tradebit.com).
