Eric O. Shipman

Let my mouth be filled with thy praise- Psalm 71:8a

Eric O. Shipman was born in Hallsboro, North Carolina. At the age of five, Eric moved to Philadelphia, PA. It was at this age that Eric began singing. At twelve years old, he sang his first solo in church. It was apparent that the Lord blessed Eric with a voice from heaven.
As he continued to grow so did his voice. He sang every opportunity that arose. Eric sang with recording artists, Dobbins Mass Choir and Alex Ingram and Friends.
He starred in the plays “The Judgment”, “Bend, Don’t Break”, “The Passion Play about Jesus Christ”, and was also the understudy for Rev. Timothy Wright. Eric has had the pleasure of singing with Richard “Mr. Clean” White, Bruce Parham, and Tamika Patton. He has also sung backup for Marvin Sapp, Daryl Coley, and Beverly Crawford as well as directed and taught her songs. Eric’s breathtaking voice has opened up for world renowned recording artists, Joe Ligon and The Mighty Clouds of Joy.
He was also the two time winner of the talent competition “Philly Gospel Showdown” in 2004. This anointed psalmist was a participant in singing the jingle for Philly''s well-known radio station,“Gospel Highway 11”, one of the supporting vocalists for the recording rap artist, CYD and he was also the guest soloist for a citywide outreach service in Philadelphia, PA.
He has had the pleasure of working with music producers, Tramaine Dunlap, Raymond Earl, and Andrew Ford. He has been blessed to be an Associate minister, Assistant Director and one of the praise and worship leaders at the Cathedral Baptist Worship Center in Philadelphia, PA where Bishop Millicent Hunter is the pastor.
He is the proud husband of Regina Shipman and they are the proud parents of two children, Anthony and Ericka. Even though Eric’s accomplishments are many he proudly stands on this scripture this is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes (psalms 118:23).
