Garrett Nordstrom Situation is the vehicle for singer-songwriter Garrett Nordstrom. The first full length record by the band is called Blue Flag, Black Heart. In 2006 Nordstrom employed the talents of vocalist Dalene DePriest and Jen Johnson to share the signing duties and the group was off. The current lineup is made up of longtime Nordstrom drummer/collaborator Scot Eldridge, bassist Justin Rogers, multi-instrumentalist Rich “Willy” Wood and lead guitarist Patrick Goodwin. The group’s “Alt-R&B” combines supple funk with rich harmonies, uptempo rockers with folksy instrumentals to create a record which is currently receiving critical review.
