J.B. Kline is a solid, seasoned performer with 30 years of steady playing under his belt. Starting with local New Jersey bands whose members would go on to play with Bruce Springsteen and Patti LaBelle, Jeff moved to N.Y.C. and performed with such noted acts as the Drifters, Chuck Berry, Solomon Burke, the Crystals, the Shirelles, the Plasmatics, Freddie Cannon, Fats Domino, Bo Diddley, the Marvellettes, Steve Forbert, George Thorogood, the Beach Boys, Mitch Ryder, and even Tiny Tim! Recently J.B. Kline has performed with Marshall Tucker, Shannon McNally, Big Brother & The Holding Company, Rick Derringer, Guitar Shorty and Johnny Winter, as well as popular local bands 519 South and The Mojo Mystics.
J.B. Kline has been known to say, “You’ve gotta feel it or it don’t mean nothin’ at all.” As anyone who’s been to one of his performances can tell you, J.B. Kline definitely “feels it” when he is singing and playing his guitar -- and you can feel it too! "Music Mountain" is the first release from J.B. Kline, and it contains eleven of his most soulful songs. It also contains some of his most requested songs; "Tell It Like It Is" and "That''s How Strong My Love Is." Besides J.B. on guitar, it features harmonica legend Steve Guyger, Ed Wall on keyboards, and some other great musicians, listed below.
The album has sort of an acoustic edge to it, as compared to his live show, which generally is more electric.
