Adopting an independent approach to the music business and pursuing a grassroots connection with fans, Johnny founded Tree Records in early 2004 and in May released his first full-length album, the aptly-titled “Awakening”. He began performing at open-mics, street corners & coffeehouses honing skills that would soon lead to gigs in bars, clubs & listening rooms throughout the Northeast. With a sound best described as the marriage of country, folk, blues and roots music with rock, pop, noise and exploration, Johnny and his band deliver a raucous live show, winning over new audiences everywhere they go.
