Details:
King Vidor was born of a move to the countryside away from the tall cities of the East and the acquisition of a cheap but star-affixed 6-string gut box called Johnson.

C. Coleman was a lapsed artist who found new life in the composition of simple melodies and imagistic lyrics about hope, love, lust and loss. Some of these songs were collected on the hatchet job known as ...A Sky Blue Tape Hiss, an ultra-rare dining room record recorded in a dining room several minutes after the first chord was taught to Mr. Coleman by his step-father-in-law Richard Frasca, of the famed underground LA band Village.

C. Coleman has stashed 300 songs in 4 years of writing and hopes to make more records.

Dirty Little Millionaire is the first attempt at recording propriety made since song-writing began. Recorded in an old muti-colored ranch house on Middlefield Center Road known alternately as Clandestine Labs and Rob''s House (Rob being one R Wesley Graham, Verizon Lineman and metal head ubur-bass player of extreme quality and energy), Dirty Little Millionaire employs the talents and patience of many of Cherry Valley''s disparate musicians and artists.

Rewiring an old blonde Hammond Organ (one of many collapsed about The Labs), Conor Murphy, good friend and stone mason/home builder, cranked up the Leslies and laced half these songs with celestial tones.

Rob Graham threw down some fat vintage porn bass parts where appropriate. Jerry Tietz, an administrator at nearby Glimmerglass Opera, showed up with his classically-trained and Nashville-abused violin arm and generated some wickid rock and roll/country lines.

Engineeer Kevin Tobler pounded some drums in between naps, and as you''ll hear, he was fuckin'' well-rested when he played.

Loads of others from the surrounding townships were brought in to help, too many to mention. Much chaotic fun was had by all. Dirty Little Millionaire is steeped in the dusky sounds of back woods country pop. A thick veneer of vintage tube and deep tannins rest at the bottom of this mug.

The future: King Vidor has solidified around a core group of musicians, some new and some found on Dirty Little Millionaire. Currently King Vidor is recording a new record and preparing a tour of the East Coast in March 2008.
