Hello i''m Austin Gray. I''ve waited a long time to put out this first cd of mine. I always wanted to play guitar, ever since I was a little kid, so this is one of those childhood fantasies. But i am no longer a child. I had to put out a cd to establish myself musically to justify what i''m trying to do, since i''ve grown this passion for music. i was fighting off putting out any form of a real album for a while but all of a sudden the time seemed right back in the spring of this year, 2007.
About the CD:
Goldtop was recorded at a studio that''s within walking distance from my house. I was down at the open mic at the Ivory one thursday night in late winter/very early spring of 07, indulging in some drinks and smokes when i went up and played a couple of tunes with Steve the piano player from the deep river blues band and two people playing hand drums. Talking to one of the hand drummers, he said that he actually had a recording studio in Ivoryton. i was like, oh shit i live in ivoryton too, where do you live. and he said, i live on lynn road. and i said, ohhh shiiit i live on lynn road too. long story short, I went to Jon Morse''s Spicefighter Studios and recorded a 5 song EP between May and June 2007 and thus dubbed it Goldtop. The cd has just two people on it, Jon Morse playing drums and me doing everything else. It was a great experience and i already can''t wait to record my next one. as i already have said, i hope you enjoy, and it''s only getting better so keep tuning in.
About Me:
I was born on August 18th, 1985 so depending on when you read this, i am that old ! It is my dream to start a record label one day with money I make from doing my own music so I could in turn help other people make music that they love to listen to, and more importantly, that I love to listen to harharho. But seriously, in turn, help them see their dreams through, like I plan to do.
