The Encore Automatic Banjo is musical wonder. It is an automatic coin machine that cost a nickel to operate. They were popular from the 1890''s to the very early 1900''s.I t plays various songs from music rolls and played some of the popular songs of the day. These type of banjo machines were used in saloons and other businesses. Unfortunately, the Banjos had a short business life and were replaced in popularity by electric coin operated pianos "Nickelodeons" and Orchestrions. It is estimated that only about 40 such machines exist now. Sit back and listen to some of the unique and wonderful music ever produced.
