Songwriter Kate Porter has been an ASCAP member and animal rescuer and advocate for as long as she can remember. She wrote “The Animal’s First Christmas” to raise funds for her non-profit animal rescue organization, the Critter Coalition (https://www.tradebit.com) and no less than 50% of the monies earned will go toward helping Seniors keep their pets as they and their pets grow older.
All too often, vet bills, food costs and general care causes older pet lovers to have to give up their beloved animal companions when they need them the most. The Critter Coalition keeps that from happening and the revenue from this gentle child’s Christmas carol will provide much of the money needed.
