Details:
This CD was started long before my first release, as some of the material on it was written many years ago.
"Lady I Idolize" for instance, was one of the first songs I ever wrote on the guitar at the age of 18. I''m now older than that ... lol.
Some of the material was finished while we put this collection together.
It took the talents of a few individuals to forge the material and finally bring the process to fruition.
Accordingly, I''d REALLY like to thank the following performers for contributing their talents to this compilation:
Stuart Gort of Spokane, Washington USA who plays rhythm and lead electric guitar, and performs background vocals.
Tjarko Busink of the Netherlands, who performs bass, rhythm electric and also background vocals.
Finally, Mark Crumb formerly of Jewitt City Connecticut, who performs lead and rhythm guitar.
This album is intended to combine the sonic flavorings of yesteryear with the technology of today ... making things appear as recently produced versions of classic early rock stylings.
Yet, a balance needed to be struck, so that the music of the past was also combined with the sound of the present ... with the vision of making the recording sound modern, but give a respectful nod to its musical heritage.
Hence: Retrospectful - a modern record that appreciates its roots and no -- it wasn''t named by George W. Bush.
This album is dedicated with a warm heart to the memory of Mr. Mark Crumb
