Fortunately, Paraplegic MC has never allowed his disability to dictate his destiny. Embodying his motto, “think positive and reach for your goals,” he dedicates his life advocating for those who have succumb to societal pressures and decided to be defined by extraneous ideals of life. Utilizing his keen oratorical abilities, Paraplegic MC conveys his message through Hip-Hop. A native of Chicago’s Southside, home to Common, Paraplegic MC has shared his message of goal attainment in venues such as: Chicago’s Regal Theatre to the highly sought after Taste of Chicago. His many
years of sharpening his penmanship has not only improved his rapping ability but also has afforded him opportunities to extend his fan base to those who can identify with his struggle. Paraplegic has formed relationships with the National Muscular Dystrophy Association and Special Music for Special People, solidifying his role as advocate and role model. He proves time after time that being disabled is not a death sentence, but just enough pressure to shine like the jewel you are.
