EasyChair''s self titled CD.

EasyChair is an eclectic four piece band from the area surrounding Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Since hitting the scene in February 2002, the band has quickly built a substantial following and has secured rotation on many Wisconsin radio stations. Their debut album has sold hundreds of copies throughout the US. Their second album, "Broken Bridges", was released less than a year later.

The band was formed when they were thrown together at an open stage night at The Cornerstone (now called Stones Throw) in Eau Claire. Lead singer, Bill Boles and Bassist, Phil Juodis knew each other from being from the same home town and growing up together. Guitarist, Bronson Bergeson and Drummer, Tony Basley met several years earlier. Their paths crossed several times but they never managed to be in the same band at the same time.

They each continued their own musical projects and playing together at the weekly open stage until they decided to capitalize on the sound they had together. EasyChair was formed in March of 2001 with the sole purpose of writing and releasing an original album.

The band was first called Downpour, but shortly after naming the group, a national act released an album under that name. They then decided on Cornerstone named after the name of the club in which they met. Again they were forced to rename the group when a national release under the name Cornerstone hit the market. They finally decided on EasyChair based upon the Bob Dylan song "You ain''t going nowhere" which is the first song that they played together, and continue to include in every show.

A year later, after countless hours of writing and re-writing, arranging and re-arranging, the project was finally complete. They recorded the songs in their project studio. The tapes were then sent to Legend Studios in Eau Claire where Brian Senn edited, mixed and mastered the project.

On February 28, 2002, EasyChair released their self titled debut album. It immediately took off. Within three months, they were getting airplay on several radio stations throughout the state, and sold hundreds of CD''s both at the shows and online.

Less than a year later, they released their second album, "Broken Bridges".
Sales of the album immedately surpassed the first album.
The band members backgrounds include jazz, classical, country, rock, blues, big band and folk. This eclectic mix is apparent in their music. Both albums explore the band''s vast influences. Their music has been compared to The Black Crowes, The Allman Brothers, Train and Led Zeppelin.

EasyChair continues to tour in support of their albums. Their high energy live shows have been getting rave reviews. The band has also been invited to perform with national acts that include Everclear, The Exies, Ike Reilly and Joe Bonamassa. The band is building a substantial following that seems to follow them wherever they go.
