The G-Men are old enough to prefer their music on vinyl but young enough to still get excited about plugging in their guitars. Our musical neighborhood is located somewhere near the intersection of rockabilly, country, and early sixties rock and roll. Elvis, Cliff Gallup, Eddie Cochran, Johnny Cash, Buck Owens, Jonathan Richman, and the Beatles are among our many heroes. You''ll find their music interesting and new yet familiar all at the same time.
"We''ve toyed with renaming ourselves the Van Winkles because it''s as if we''ve been asleep for the last forty-five years," says John Vanderock, drummer for the band. "We''re not trying to be an oldies act; it''s just that we don''t see any point in trying to fix something that isn''t broken," he adds.
Vanderock is right. There''s nothing wrong with two guitars, bass, drums, vocals, and a harmonica here and there. If you like to rock and roll, but it''s been a while since you were last hanging out in the soda shop, the G-Men are for you! Enjoy!
