Details:
"Lettin'' go of seams, Undressing the daydream. Hiding isn''t clean, Find out that screams won''t burn you" - Chewing Sand, track 2, 5 Handcreams for Sandy.

Jacqui''s solo EP, ''5 Handcreams for Sandy'', released February 2006, is being played on radio and internet stations across the country. Feedback from listeners has shown that the songs provoke an intense emotional, and sometimes sexual response, as they have the ability to reach into the deep caverns of the human body.

“Your voice is like honey to my ears... spicy, sexy honey that drips down that sensitive spot between my jaw and my neck and at the same time, lingers at the tip of my tongue.”.... Andy Jones

“You’re a little alt, a little rock, a little soul, a little folk, and a lot intergalactic siren song.”.... Daniella White

Organic and original, Jacqui''s sound has been compared to a melting pot of Jeff Buckley, Elliot Smith, Beck, Fiona Apple and Tracy Bonham; with harmonies and melodies that “could sing the wings off angels”. Shannon Hutchins

Jacqui''s been singing and screaming with flute and voice since pre-adolescence. Beginning as a classically trained musician, who excelled competitively in the pulling the tone and technique out of written composition, she found inspiration from other musicians in the family to pull her focus toward her own writing potential. Her composing career began and she fit her vocals and flute creations into the collectives of Detroit funk-punk-experimental bands, "Balls Beverly" and "Wild About Lather" for 4 years until venturing to Seattle to explore her solo career. In the Northwest, she''s been a backing vocalist and rhythm guitarist in "Going South", featuring Katy Cornell, for 3 years, while focusing on feeling, writing, sculpting and expressing her own unique sound, which is featured on her recent EP, 5 Handcreams for Sandy. She performed her songs locally with a variety of musicians, until forming her Seattle band, Bone Cave Ballet, in 2006. The band, featuring Kelly Mynes (Panther Attack, Showshane, Austenetic) on drums, Blair Maman (The Pressed Men), on guitar, and Chris Vena (The McCoys/ Ingo Swann, 1-2-1-2) on bass, adds textural form and technical force, to both the recorded songs and more recent compositions. She’s calling to the ears that are waiting for pleasure, the hearts that are ready to open, the bodies and souls that want to tingle.
