With great melodies and catchy lyrics, their new material continues to combine their alternative rock energy with vocals often compared to Paul Westerburg to create a new sound that is perfect for radio.
The band just signed with EO-Records and are going into the studio and planning a fall release and national tour. Their single, "Little Breakdown" is receiving airplay at many mainstream Alternative stations across the country as well as Top40 station, 105.9, KALC in Denver, CO. The remixed single being played will be on their forthcoming CD. That song will also be on the Midpoint Music Festival Compilations CD and the band will be showcasing the opening night.
Singer/Songwriter Mark Lorenzo started Echo Park in Toledo, Ohio and then moved to Cincinnati five years ago. That is where he met bassist John Donohue and drummer, Eric Mayleben, who has toured nationally with a few artists. After playing as a 3-piece for two years, the guys decided to add new guitarist, Kraig King.
They recently worked with Michelle Clark Promotions and Jerry Lembo to release, "You Are," from "The Machine." It received airplay on AAA format R&R and Album Network stations across the country including their first "Billboard Add" at WRNX in Massachusetts.
Totally Adult, described "You Are" as "a full-on pop assault" and "tasty, good clean fun." Recently, their single, "The Drinking Song," has been in the TOP 400 songs downloaded at https://www.tradebit.com out of well over 11,000 and 4 other Echo Park songs are in the top 2000.
ECHO PARK recently won 4 Lake Erie West People''s Choice Awards for "Best Alternative Band," "Performers of the Year," and two "Best Sound Recording". This made ECHO PARK the only band to win 4 awards in 3 years. All of this early success has led the band to secure a sponsorship agreement with Miller Brewing, Jagermeister and an endorsement by Parker Guitars.
With so many accomplishments in such a short amount of time without major label support, the hard working members of ECHO PARK are showing that they are eager and focused on the next level. And, as the Citybeat stated, "Echo Park has the potential of being around a lot longer than the usual Johnny-Rzeznik-Come-Lately."
