Larry Roe was born in St. Louis, Missouri but brought up in the south in Georgia and Florida. He has lived in many regions of the U.S. and therefore had the music of many areas make an impression on him. folk bluegrass, country, southern rock, even earlier stars all made an impression on him. His mother Jeanette Roe was a trained opera singer and started him in the ways of music at an early age.
"I wrote my first melody at the age of 7 when in the choire. I could see the notes going up and down on the page but didn''t know how to read the music. So when everyone sang i made up my own part. Everyone thought it was nice enough to have me sing alone with my older brother at a large cathedral for Christmas. From there on out music has always been very dear to me and i like many kinds and styles. This album though i decided to put enough country into the songs to have the album have a direction and a basic theme. I hope you enjoy the songs as much as i enjoyed writing and recording them.
With this cd i tried to bring many of the styles i loved through the years to the country genre of music. There are influxes of eagles, doors, bob dylan, along with the usual country styles and themes.
The major portion of this album was recorded in the studio that found and was instrumental in getting Billy Rae Cyrus'' career off to a flying start.
