Jason Butler finds balance and clarity in his messages throughout with “City of Champions” leading the way. This song sets the stage as it showcases everything that LetLive stands for and everything the band has become since its conception in 1999; from the dynamic vocal assault layered in social inequality to the aesthetically engaging musicianship which shines throughout the record from beginning to end. "If our instruments had limbs, they''d make love," says Butler, speaking about their music, "and when it gets heavier...like breakdowns, that''s when they go from love-making to fucking."
With one release already under their belt (Exhaustion, Salt Water And Everything In Between – 2004), LetLive set out to make an unmistakable statement the second time around.
