Details:
Element57

"Like a contemporary version of The Police, Element 57 plays modern Rock that you can sink your teeth into."
ELEMENT57 is the brain child of New York born singer/songwriter, Chris Galyon. After 7 years as the front man for Portland''s nationally acclaimed DIY band- 4th Plane Jaiant, Galyon felt it was time to re-visit his rock roots, turn up the Marshall stack and press record. With a truly unique sound & hook-drenched melodies, Element57 seems to rock where few are able to follow.
"Our sound is in the vein of Pink Floyd, The Police and Rush with a modern edge to it. It''s big & dreamy stadium rock." says Galyon (Guitar/Vocals).
The band has just released their debut EP, Radiate to rave reviews and accolade.
"You''ll find yourself sinking deeper into each eloquent layer with every listen. It is some of the most memorable music you''ll run into. The voice reminds me of Peter Gabriel or Sting but the music is something much more. They''ve created a wall of sound between the guitar, keys and electronic sax that is out of this world. Element57 has forged a new sound for music fans who won''t be disappointed."-Independent Weekly
In addition to glowing press reviews, "Freedom" was featured by New Future Records to be included on a sampler disc distributed throughout the nation. In Jan. 2004, "Speak So Loud" landed on Indie-Music Vol. 1 distributed by Arizona promotion wizards, Black Dog Productions.
After months in the studio, 2005 will put Element57 on the road in support of Radiate. They currently have local and regional shows booked as well as tours falling in line for the west coast and mid-west.
Helping fill out the talented 5-piece are Jason Wilbur (Wind Synth/Sax), Andy Kallenberger (Bass), Jimi Sanders (Keys) and Ed Coleman (Drums), all of whom boast impressive musical resumes.
The band, under their previous name, 4th Plane Jaiant, built a 7 year legacy with two albums, Tideline (1998) and Bipolar (2001), airplay on over 50 college radio stations, & thousands of fans from Colorado to the Pacific Coast. Since the band''s 2nd release, Bipolar, 4PJ earned showcases at Jim Beam''s National Rock Band Search, the Northwest Musicians Union "Annual Showcase" and MusicFest NW. Other accolades include receiving the Independent Music Award "Best Reggae Song" from Musician''s Atlas & winning the https://www.tradebit.com Songwriting Contest- landing the band a slot on the sampler cd.
