It''s no surprise performing comes naturally to these talented sisters, the daughters of Russian Hockey legend and NHL All-Star Igor Larionov and former Junior World Figure Skating Champion Elena Botanova.
20 year year old Alyonka was born in Russia on April 4, 1987, followed by 17 year old Diana, born in Vancouver, Canada on January 11, 1991.
Even at a young age their talent became evident as they seized every opportunity to sing and perform in front of an audience, be it in their own backyard or local talent shows. And perform they did! Crowds were inpired by their ability to sing and entertain fearlessly in any given situation. The girls loved to perform and the audiences loved them right back! Relying on each others strengths, the ''sister act'' became the talk of the town... many towns to be more accurate.
Growing up the family relocated often while the girls were young. The talented sisters devoted themselves to performing and drawing from each culture as they moved through various countries.
When the opportunity to open for singing sensation Aaron Carter presented itself, they were ready!
This early break led to appearances with Kid Rock and recording sessions with the Grammy Award winning producers of Multi-Platinum rapper Eminem.
Tens of thousands have heard them sing the National anthems at various National Hockey League games. They quickly became a favorite in many NHL arenas including the ''Joe Louis'' in Detroit.
Now known simply as ''Alyonka and Diana'' they were asked to perform for Russian President Vladimir Putin before an audience of forty thousand.
But the shining moment may have been when they sang on National Television in Moscow''s Red Square, a feat that precious few have enjoyed including Paul McCartney and Shakira.
In 2007 they were both chosen among tens of thousands of hopefuls at the auditions for American Idol, and will appear on season 7 of the Fox smash TV show in January/February 2008.
For these gifted sisters, the future is now!
