We have been several months gathering music and info to include with this cd project. We wanted to make our deadline of Feb, 3, 2008, which we have done, making it a true memorial album to the music that died 49 years ago, on that date in that tragic plane crash. The Bopper''s son, Jay P. Richardson was highly instrumental in the creation of this collection, and without his help and permissions, it could not happen... This has every known recording by the Bopper. J. P. Richardson who was killed along with Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens on Feb. 3, 1959, while doing the "Winter Dance Party", which The Bopper Jr., Jay P. Richardson still does every year.
