Details:
Since it’s inception in 2005, Bruiser has electrified the city’s top music venues with high-energy pure rock. Shows at the Empty Bottle…Double Door…Metro…have left crowds wanting more.
In the summer of 2006, Bruiser completed their full-length album, “Fantastic Theory,” with Producer Steven Haigler, who in the past has honed the sounds of The Pixies, Quicksand, Clutch, and Local H. More recently he has produced such artists as Fuel (Epic), As Tall as Lions (EastWest), and Hopesfall (Trustkill). Joe Daniels (Local H, the Black Panels) the then drummer, recorded all drums for the album. Dave Collins, the former Chief Mastering Engineer for A&M Records, mastered the album. Dave’s repertoire includes Soundgarden, Q.O.T.S.A., and Porno for Pyros to name a limited few.
Bruiser broke onto the Chicago music scene after Dan and Clarke reorganized their former project and recruited Joe Daniels to come into the studio to drum on an EP. The product was tight and the fit was naturally seamless. The collaboration turned out to be more than a one and done project—Bruiser emerged. After a two-year stint with Joe, Bruiser enlisted their current drummer Chris Balagot to continue the rockatorical onslaught.
