Details:
Hello everybody, and thank you for stopping by to check out our debut album, ''Accent On The O''. Let me tell you a little bit about us. The band ''Ellis Noval'' consists of a singer/songwriter father and son core and has undergone several personnel changes to date.

Our first album has been extremely long in the making, having started the group in 1995 playing as many places as we could to build a following. Through our many experiences during those times, we realized that playing cover songs to several crowds was fun at the time, but it was not helping us make a name for ourselves as well as we would have liked. So we decided to concentrate a little harder on writing and recording our own songs. To start things off, let me tell you what we know of ''Ellis Noval,'' the unheralded hero of the Civil War...

Ellis Noval was a gunsmith who was called into service during the Civil War and was assigned to provide services to Robert E. Lee and the troops reporting directly to him. Ellis was also a talented musician and noting the significant downtime in waiting between battles and the effect it was having on morale, Ellis used his skill and imagination to render his contribution to the cause. He took his black powder long rifle, attached a bridge, mounted some strings (we don''t know how many) and fashioned a slide guitar. And out of concern for the morale of his fellow soldiers and friends, he played songs that took them back to more pleasant places in their memories. It is in this spirit that the band ''Ellis Noval'' was created. We want to take folks to fond places in their hearts and memories, and perhaps share some of our own brand of wisdom through the words and music of our songs.

These debut tracks encompass just a small peice of our lifetime experiences, but hopefully they can either help you walk the road of life a little easier, or simply help you to tap your feet when you''re a little down. If we can give a moment of peace or happiness to just one of our fans, then the production of all was worth the sale of that one. We hope you enjoy the music as much as we enjoyed making it.

Now let me tell you a little bit about each track you will hear...

Another Love Song:
Al: This is a simple song with a simple message that hit me square in the face as we were on our way to a gig one night. "Wouldn''t it be nice to write a song about the very reason we are doing all this ," I thought. So I jotted down some words that got the message across to the fans saying, "Hey, we appreciate you folks" and Tony was able to throw a good southern-fried rhythm under it. It may not bring us any fame, but it''s a love song just the same, and it''s written for you...

The Legend of Ellis Noval:
Tony and Al: This tune''s origin is pretty self-explanatory. Someone needed to write a song about the man, so here it is...

StratoCoaster;
Tony: The day I started thinking that my musical knowledge-base had stopped growing, I wrote this in a fit of artistic bewilderment and recorded it in a fit of artistic frustration. This song was an effort on my part to challenge myself, and I definitely accomplished that!

Momma You Did Good:
Tony: It occurred to me one day that while I''ve been playing and writing all this music with my dad, that the most important person got a little left behind in the shuffle. Here''s to you, Mom...

Boys In Honky Tonk Bars:
Al: I wrote this song after spending so many nights playing in bars and surrounded by drunks and unfriendlies to relate to everyone that not all the boys in honky-tonk bars are bad boys...

Cassy''s Song:
Al: This song was written to share the happiness and joy that is a child, in this case, my granddaughter...

What''s Wrong With Me:
Tony: Well, this one was written about a real-life soap opera experience of mine back around mid to late 1995 by my dad, who saw it all happenÂ…

The Ballad of Jimmy and Jake:
Tony: This song was inspired by a dear friend of our family when she asked my mother to take care of her two boys should anything ever happen to her. The emotion that overtook me when I heard it sent me flying to grab a pen and start writing...

It''s Not a Game:
Tony and Al: This song is about living life in the fast lane without regard to the consequences. Here''s a little advice for those who recklessly indulge themselves...

Song For Dad:
Tony: The song says it all (as much as any song is able)...

Thanks for listening, and be sure to leave us some feedback when you''ve heard it! We''d love to hear from you...
