dfunktion is “the” premier original funk band funkin’ from Orange County CA.
Formed in 2004 by founder Jabe “Too funky” Amato and later accompanied by “Thumpin’ Theron” Brison and “Back beat Mike” McQuaid to complete the funky three.
dfunktion’s influences include Cameo, Sly and the family Stone, Bootsie Collins, P-Funk and Hendrix just to name a few.
We are bringing back the “show” onstage and will entertain you and yours with a fun, positive funk groove. Our mission is as follows; To bring good times, great vibes and funky music to the people, in an effort to get the masses off their collective asses.
