After wasting most of my life in the pursuit of meaningless, worldly interests, I came to know the Lord Jesus Christ at 47 years of age. Since then, I have been on an incredible journey of change. I have gone from being a chronic drug and alcohol abuser to being a "substance free" man. I am experiencing more peace in my personal life than I ever thought possible. Marriage has become a joyous and satisfying experience, and each day, I am finding freedom from the anger and hurt that held me in bondage for so long. My insight and discernment seem to be growing in leaps and bounds, along with my compassion and love for others.
This is an album of praise and adoration for a loving Saviour, but it is also a declaration of faith, as well as my personal testimony.

I WILL STAND and I GIVE IT ALL are statements of what I (or anyone) must do to stay close to the Lord. If "lukewarm" is not an option, then the goal is to "count it all a loss for the sake of knowing Christ."

OPEN UP, O ANCIENT GATES is taken from Psalm 24 (Living Bible), almost word for word,(sorry King David). Both this song and BEFORE THE THRONE (a traditional hymn), not only offer praise and worship, but describe Who it is that we are praising and worshipping.
The Lord woke me in the middle of the night and gave me WHEN BABYLON NO LONGER STOOD. It is a prophetic song based on Revelation 18. It is also a warning directed at all of those who refuse to come out of present day Babylon, which I believe is not a physical place, but a place in the hearts of men where they love the world more than God.
Please know that I am aware that there are a lot of people much more gifted than I, vocally and otherwise. My fervent hope is that this music will not be about talent or gifting, but that it will cause you to look at your relationship with Christ in a fresh, new way, and that, perhaps, it will help you to draw closer to Him. I hope it works for you.
