Michael Dallin and Donald Paul Lyon formed Heavy Plastic in 1989. They started creating their music using simple Commodore 64’s, and produced several digital “albums” on 5 1/4 inch floppy discs. In 1991 they started the arduous process of creating their first album on CD. This album titled, “A Trip Across A Psyberdelic Dream And 5 Letters To MUM,” would eventually be completed in 1999. Although this album was never officially released, a few copies were sold here and there to fans.
Now, in 2008, Heavy Plastic’s first album: A Trip Across A Psyberdelic Dream And 5 Letters to MUM will be sold to the general public! It is a Sci-fi/Fantasy journey set to psychedelic and electronic music. A little over 8 years in the making, the album takes the listener on a journey through time and space told through 5 letters sent back to Earth from a starship caught in the grasp of a black hole.
