WHOLE WIDE WORLD is the feature duet from the collaborative INKSTER & WREN EP "Tales From Two Cities".
Inkster & Wren are two friends separated by 500 miles, both currently slaving over their own solo albums. To avoid going stir-crazy they decided to change course briefly and rendezvous on this collaborative 5 track EP featuring the Whole Wide World duet and two solo efforts each.
"The Proclaimers beat us to the punch with a song titled 500 Miles," says Inkster, "So instead we dusted off the Wreckless Eric classic Whole Wide World and gave it some "indie-acoustic chick" treatment. I hope Mr. Eric doesn''t mind.”
And why should he? As the French horn rolls over the glockenspiel and the banjo tussles with the acoustic guitar for a piece of the action, I''m sure the lovelorn 70''s new-waver would be stoked to hear two beautiful laydeez knocking out a version of their own all these years on.
