The early 90''s was pretty good for most alt rock bands. If you had a lawyer and financial backing, you could get caught up in the wave from the tsunami called "Nirvana" and get to play rock star for a few years. But for most of the bands, that was not the case. There was a tidal wave of new bands coming out, so most of the releases by new and unknown bands were lost in between the piles of releases piling up at radio, music reviewers desks and distros.
Ungortunately, the Kewpie Dolls suffered such a fate. It was a shame, this really is a good album. Not as "safe" and straight up as most of the stuff coming out then. There was an element of uncertainty that left you unsure if all the oars were in the water. And then suddenly, your concerns are squashed when you get to the track "Fifty Girls Fifty", which came from the Kewpie Dolls previous band Sound of My Own Voice, which was straight up twee guitar pop.

This is from the original pressing from 1992. We only have a dozen or so copies left, and they are available exclusively here on CD Baby. When they are gone, that is it, they will be gone forever. If this sounds like a piece of wisdom in the form of a sales pitch, well, I guess it is.
